Location: Mary Ward Catholic Secondary School.

Goal: Our goal was to provide guidance and support for highschool students, in making their decision for which University to attend. We also wanted this event to provide guidance and tips to help ensure a smooth transition from high school to university.

We first set up a table in the main hall to promote the event, engage with students, and promote our H4S mentorship program. We later moved into the Library Conference room, where we discussed tips for choosing a University program, what to expect in university, and what resources are available to students. Our Panelists (H4S mentors) shared their experiences with what mistakes they made in the process, what resources helped them, and what strategies allowed them to adjust and succeed in university.

Brochures were given out, which included a framework for comparing universities, a checklist for steps to take for addressing the financial aspect of university, and common fears or concerns. In total, we got 10 attendees.
